Lucky evidence clears college student in shooting
Julian Butler is back at school studying for his college exams after two
days that anyone would call harrowing. Butler was being held as a key
suspect in an Easter Day shooting incident in Florida that left five
people injured, including a baby in a stroller. In addition to Wal-Mart
surveillance footage, Butler's counsel was able to clear him when Butler
was able to find his copy of the Wal-Mart receipt. His lawyer says
Butler, an ROTC member with a spotless record, was "in shock" during the
experience. He was studying for exams when "out of the blue" a friend
told him his picture was on the Internet as a potential suspect. Now
Butler's back at the University of Central Florida,. His major: Criminal
justice.
